Looking back at summer 2013 I realize how lucky we are to work and live in Casares. Owning a villa here means enjoying the best of Andalucía. We’ve got the fabulous beaches, the tranquility of some stunning natural reserves and the authenticity and charm of a beautiful Andalucian white village.

We will give you a quick resumé what ‘veranear’, spending the summer in the Casares mountains means. So there will be no doubt for you to purchase your perfect holiday home in this area or rent one next year!
Beaches
The country properties we offer in Casares are at an average 10 to 15 minute drive to some of the most stunning beaches and beachclubs. The Cortesin beach club has been nominated as one of the best on the Costa del Sol. Yet if you prefer a more modest beach day there are numerous chiringuitos and long stretched sandy beaches to enjoy. And the best of all: They are never overcrowded, not even in August!
Wining and dining
The road up to the village of Casares is famous for it’s restaurants. Starting with the exclusive restaurant Kabuki Raw and Don Giovanni in the Cortesin Club, and continuing with fancy fusion cooking restaurants a little bit further up the road as Arroyo Hondo, The Forge and Venta Garcia. We should not forget the traditional Spanish kitchen as offered in Venta Victoria and venta Mari Cruz nor the beach bars that serve an excellent selection of fish.
Charm and Authenticity…and party time!
The village itself is beautiful as is to have a stroll around or to go for drinks and tapas on a lazy summer evening. Yet during the summer all kinds of event are organized to entertain the citizens and visitors. The bigger happenings start in July with the ‘Mercadillo Medieval’, followed by a 4 day Feria the first weekend of August and a 3 day feria mid September. In between there are activities as an outdoor cinema, a flamenco evening and even a visit top the ‘house of terror’ organized by the local theatre group.
Home of the stars?
This year we can add the famous stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to our visitors. Attracted by the beauty of the village they wandered round and even bought a painting of one of our local artists, David España. Just a few days after that we were visited by cyclists crossing our municipality in the Vuelta España.
Well, what more can we say? Casares definitely needs to be in your shortlist if your hunting for holiday homes on the Costa del Sol!
