You’d think we might get enough of seeing cortijos in Andalusia, but really, we don’t! We just get more and more excited every time we come across a new beauty. Because, all cortijos have something different; whether it is the setting, the surrounding nature, the architectural details… And well, this Beautiful Spanish Cortijo stands out for sure due to the various outbuildings it has!
A Beautiful Spanish Cortijo
From the moment you enter the property through the large doors, you stumble upon one of the largest interior courtyards we have ever seen! This, used to be the place where you would mount and dismount the horses. A spectacularly large carob tree embellishes the front façade. It is the perfect place to enjoy an icy glass of water after a ride in the mountains.
The whole perimeter of the courtyard has built in flower pots and terracotta pots that decorate the traditional pebbled courtyard with accents of colour. It gives a comforting and cosy feeling upon entrance. From the courtyard is also where you have access to the main cortijo, to the 3 staff/guest houses, to the large event hall, and through a back door, you can go directly to the stables.
The main house
This beautiful Spanish cortijo of 321 m2 has 5 bedrooms in the main house, 13 bedrooms in total to accommodate staff, guest, family, friends… The main Andalusian cortijo is decorated in a classic Spanish style, fascinating! It has been completely renovated maintaining many of those enchanting details. Such as: the terracotta floors, the beautiful wooden beams, spectacular large & antique wooden doors, the arches throughout, hand-painted tiles in the bathrooms… You will fall in love!
Another detail that you will absolutely adore about this beautiful Spanish cortijo are the incredibly high ceilings in the living room. The sitting arrangement is centred around a cosy fireplace. On a split level, the dining area with large windows and doors that connect to the outside terraces. Here you can dine and wine on most days throughout the year. 4 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, 2 of them en-suite, and 2 of them sharing a bathroom. Only on the first floor of the cortijo, the en-suite master bedroom with spectacular views looking out onto your private estate.
The fantastic staff accommodations
This is truly a wonder! The staff or guest accommodations at this beautiful Spanish cortijo are fantastic! There are 3 in total. The largest one of 100 m2, with 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a fully fitted kitchen and a cosy living room! Additionally there are two 2-bedroom houses, 1 bathroom a fully fitted kitchen and open living room. This totals up to 7 extra rooms for staff and/or guests!
No matter where you are in this Spanish cortijo, you have superb views. Either looking out onto the pool, or the terraces and nature views, or the mountains,… Every corner has something special.
